She told me that I could try and find another hotel. So as it turned out, I arrived very late and was told by the reservation manager that I was out of luck. The last message was around 11:30 p.m., advising me that if I did not confirm my arrival by 11:40 p.m., they would cancel my hotel researvation. The first was left at around 3:30 p.m., asking me to call them and confirm I was coming in. Since I was on vacation, I had turned off my phone and missed the five messages the resort left me. To my dismay, they had canceled my reservation. I arrived at Morongo after 2:00 a.m., heat exhausted and sleepy. My friends wanted me to stay with them, but I did have the reservation. Time flew by and it was not until after midnight I realized that I needed to head over to Morongo. After shopping and visiting friends on Monday the 26th, I ended up at the Indio end of the Valley. One day the temperature registered 119 F. The heat wave in the Cabazon and Coachella Valley area was serious. I booked another two-night comped stay for June 26-27, checking out the 28th. I lost a chunk of cash in the casino, but I wanted to gamble and I did. I visited the spa and indulged in a body scrub which I enjoyed. My room was great - comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. I was impressed by the cleanliness and condition of the resort and by the service of the staff. The first time was for a two-night comp June 21-22.
